Week 9

Baby

His face looks more baby-like each day—his eyes have formed, though they remain sealed shut, and his nose, lips, and ears are becoming more defined. He’s also starting to use his muscles. Although you could see him move around on an ultrasound— he’s still so small that you won't feel these movements. This week, your baby is about 1 inch long and about the size of a quarter

Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. The information listed on this site is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s current development.

Mommy

You may experience exhaustion with your body—and your mind. You might feel emotionally unstable, showing feelings of irrationality, mood swings, and weepiness all at the same time. Physically, you may begin to have food aversions and/or cravings, headaches, and continuous changes in your breasts. You may also experience constipation, and the constant urge to urinate.
