Week 39

Still here huh? Don't fret, your time is near. Slow, long walks may help to bring on labor. Often, women will lose their mucus plug 1-2 weeks before delivery. If it is streaked with blood, that is known as the "bloody show". Usually, once this occurs, labor will begin within the next day. You should expect to eat several small meals throughout the day, as you no longer have room in your stomach for large meals. Breathing will become increasingly harder as your uterus expands, so whatever you choose to do, take it slow as to avoid becoming out of breath. For now, you should put your feet up and get plenty of rest, you will need lots of energy when the big day arrives!
