Week 33

Baby

Your baby is getting bigger by the day, this week he weighs almost 5 pounds and is around 18 inches long! The amniotic fluid he lives in is now at the highest point it should be during the remainder of the pregnancy. After all there is no more room in there for baby to share, as he continues to put on 5-9 ounces per week.

Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. The information listed on this site is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s current development.

Mommy

Your uterus is slightly over 5 inches above your belly button and you have likely gained at least 28 pounds. With the rapid weight gain your little one is going through, you too will continue to gain weight at a rapid pace through the end of your pregnancy. Your bags should be packed and ready to go! Also, you should start making plans for the big day. It all seems easy enough but once you are in labor, it all becomes a jumble. For that reason, we recommend a plan! What route will you take to the hospital? Who should you call to relay the news? Have your doctor or midwife's number handy so you can reach them as soon as possible when it's time. Other than all of this frantic planning, relax!
