Week 30

Baby

This week baby weighs 3 pounds and nearly 17 inches long. When she moves around, you may notice an outline of her arm or leg move across your tummy. Her sleep pattern is developed and you may even notice when her sleep and wake cycles are. Her eyesight is continuing to develop. However, it will not be fully developed until after she is born. When she is born, her eyesight will still be rather poor for a while, and she will only be able to see objects that are within a few inches of her face. This is why your face will be such a wonder to her for quite some time, as it is the only thing she can see!

Mommy

Do you feel like you are running out of room togrow? It may seem that way but you actually have quite a bit of growing left to do before your little one makes his grand entrance to the world. You will likely feel increasingly tired each day, partly due to the high level of progesterone in your body. Take some time out for yourself this week, as you get closer to the end of your pregnancy, things will continue to get more hectic. So when you have a spare minute or two, kick your feet up, or do something you really enjoy. Also, don't forget to spend some time with dad! After the baby is born, it may be pretty hard to find some time alone together.
